This tent is easy to set up and very lightweight. The stakes that come with it are much sturdier than most. They definitely will not bend easy. Having both doors on the sides of the tent is very convenient, especially if more than one are sleeping within it. The tent is tapered, trapezoidal in shape. As others have said, there's definitely no way to fit 3 adults in the tent. But it's well-known that the number any tent is said to sleep is more than what's practical. The floor dimensions are not accurate, because of the tapered end. The tent slopes dramatically so don't expect an airmattress to fit easier. I'm going to try to fit a twin in a week, it should be possible.Other than the size difference, this tent is a great buy.

Bought four for our scout troop, seems to be made well, a little small for the older scouts. We will test them out this weekend. A great two man with gear, but all the reviews have said the same.

Works great for car camping and backpacking in Northern California climate (Tahoe in summer, Pinnacles in fall, Point Reyes in winter).
The actual tent walls are mesh, so your fly provides all privacy and protection from the elements. The fly can flap a lot in the wind, so set up with the foot upwind and make use of the multitude of stakes provided.
Only problem: I'm 6'2", 190 lb and it's a 2-man tent. With my 6'6", 200 lb buddy, our packs had to go outside in the vestibules and we were playing footsies at the tapered end...so really an ideal couple's tent.
Haven't tried it in rain yet, but seems reliable (disclaimer, I always use a ground tarp)
I really don't think I could ever use a tent w/o 2 doors and 2 vestibules now...so you probably shouldn't buy this, or you'll be spoiled like me.

I just got the tent. Seems great easy to set up and roomy. I am 6'3" and 235 lbs...so I wanted extra room. I purchased the tent for adventure motorcycle riding...my first outing will be in January....I will keep you posted.
Answer
It really depends on your budget, if your broke a 10$ tarp will work wonders.

You can use any footprint as long as it is slightly smaller than the floor of the tent so water doesn't pool on the outside of it.

I just did a search online, and found many other online stores carry the footprint for this tent. I wish Sierra Post Trading did because I'd rather order from them. Here's where i found mine on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/ALPS-Mountaineering-Zephyr-Floor-Saver/dp/B003GXUYLS

You can use any footprint you would like for this tent. I recommend using one that is slightly smaller than the base of the tent. You could even use a tarp that is folded.
