AmeriBag® HBPack Ballistic Nylon Backpack - Large

I was disappointed in this pack and returned it. Way too much of the space was taken up by rigid dividers. If the dividers had been removable, this pack would have been much more versatile.

Great for carrying and organizing folders and important papers for meetings.Like handle on top for easy carrying.

The bag helps distribute weight evenly but at a cost. You can not fit 2 or more full-size textbooks in the bag along with a 15" laptop because the dimensions of the bag (width) narrow as you move to the bottom. Overall, though, there are a lot of well-thought touches and if you don't need to bring a lot of books, then this bag is for you!

More of a utility pack. Found the storage compartments to be small. Would be good for camera equipment.

A great bag for school. It has a large capacity and distibutes the weight of heavy items better than any bag I have owned. The large handle on top makes it easy to get in and out of the car and to carry it around the house. It is a rather nondescript looking bag, nothing cool about its looks but one of the few backpacks that can pass as "professional" looking. The design of the inside of the bag makes it ideal for books, though it does not have a seperate, padded, laptop section, but it would not be good for packing anything else. Overall, this is a great bag if you have to carry lots of books and a computer and want something "adult" looking

Main pocket is cut on an angle depth wise, smaller at bottom, in order to keep weight higher for balance comfort. While this is good, the tradeoff is in capacity and putting big bulky items in. I find it fine as a briefcase substitute, book, and computer bag, but my wife doesn't like it for all her [...]. Very well made and rugged, easier on bag than typical day/bookpacks that sag more under heavy load.

Although this is a computer backpack and is well-suited to that purpose, I am using the computer section to carry softball scorekeeping books and manuals. The front pocket has ample room and sections for ID, keys, pencils, Band-Aids, sunscreen, Bactine and the like. A small zippered compartment on the top of the computer section has a well-protected slot for access to a CD player or other similar device. All the zippers meet with overlapping loops which can be secured with luggage locks. Silver lining makes finding things inside the bag much easier. I would not change a thing about this bag.

What we wanted

This backpack is big enough to hold my laptop and all my accessories and still have space for personal items. And the pack by itself is light weight.

The quality of the bag was terrific...I loved the heft of the zippers and the ballistic nylon. However, it was too large for my body (I'm 5'5", 135 pounds). Also, I didn't like the way the interior was laid out (on the diagonal, such that for the PC compartment the top started out wide and tapered at the bottom, and for the other main compartment, it started out narrow and widened out at the base). It's hard to explain, but it's not like most other backpacks I've ever seen. I am returning it, unfortunately.
