AmeriBag® HBPack Ballistic Nylon Backpack - Small

Very well made and tho heavy when empty, weight distribution on the back more than compensates. Not sure how it will travel as carry-on, but quite convinced it's not for hiking. Divided compartments are most suited to computer/other electronic equipment.

got the bag with high hopes based on the AmeriBag reputation for ergonomic comfort. Couldn't wear it out of my livingroom. Just not comfortable. Straps are itchy and my neck was getting abrated.

Smaller capacity, which is what we were looking for. Great carry on for laptop on long air trips. Nice pockets for easy access to certain items. Very comfortable.

The overall design is practical but the bag was heavier than I expected. Good if you don't mind the weight when traveling. Will be returning. I would recommend this if you're looking for practical compartments and easy accessibility to items but not if you're looking for a lightweight travel bag.

I should have checked the dimensions. It is not small. It is the size of a big backpack. The back is very stiff and sits funny on my back. It has a connector strap between the two arm straps. It rides very high and not adjustable. I'm not even a very large person. The main compartment is stitched at an angle so you only have a triangle size compartment. For the size of this backpack this comparment should be bigger. I guess it's ok for just a laptop and a few papers. The front compartment (pencils, key fob, zipper pocket,etc) is larger than most because it's the bottom triangle of the backpack. This would be ok for school if you only have one or two classes. This would not be good for traveling. I got it for cheap so it's not worth it to send it back [...]. I'm not even sure if I'd offer it to a friend. Goodwill....
