Ancient Graffiti Ceramic Birdhouse

Too heavy for many tree limbs. I'm expecting that the wire parts may rust through.

[...]. I think a chain thru the top hole with a large ring would make this item safer to hang. As it is now,with a coathanger like wire, it won't last long in any breeze in Ohio.

I loved the look of this birdhouse, but the hanger was too flimsy for the weight. I replaced it with a heavier wire and hung it among the branches of the maple in the front yard. Looks great, but the birds don't seem to like it - in the heaviest part of the mating season, when there was hot competition for other birdhouses, not one even inspected it.

The birdhouse does not look like the picture. Ours is not the terra cotta color with the glazed bands. Ours has no glazed bands. But it still looks very nice and I wish I had ordered more than one before you ran out of them. The one we received has more of a distressed stone/concrete finish. It looks really cool, though, and we are happy with it. We will need to be sure to hang it on a substantial branch because it is heavy. And for our NW Ohio backyard, I think the material will be insulating on the hottest summer days.
