It's a cute way to serve speciality salts or peppers but the bowls are SMALL. I only received one spoon, not 2 as shown, but the one I got is plastic and cheap looking. I'll use ceramic spoons I already have. Another reason for a low rating is that the bowls are stuck in the holder with 2-sided sticky discs; good because it secures the bowls but bad for washing the bowls. The bowls are so small that it will be difficult to grind the salt or pepper directly into them so you'd need to grind in a larger bowl then fill these little ones, I'll keep the set rather than fuss with returning it.

This is a very unusual and decorative item that would make a particularly nice hostess gift or keep it for yourself if you like to serve sea salt, freshly ground pepper or herbs on the table. It would be a great conversation piece and fun object to use for entertaining.
