Apex Technologies Xenon 500 Lumens Flashlight - Rechargeable

This light is extremly bright and durable. I really like the fact that the battery is rechargable,but wish it would accept standard batterys as well.

Incredible illumination with a fully charged battery. But with constant on, expect about 45 minutes of diminishing illumnation and when the battery is out of power, it will dim out very fast. If you drop it,which I have, very high chance you will need to replace light bulb and possibly crack the glass lens.

I knew this was more of a police tactical light and a bit heavy for efficient backpacking but still an excellent search/investigaton tool around the house, base camp, or search and rescue. It is light weight for its candlepower. Keep the handle warm in winter - the aluminum body will be freezing cold. So the only improvement might be a plastic body - still awesome.

I had reservations before purchasing this item but the 25% off deal led me to try it [$]. Well...the charger was defective out of the box but I took it hunting anyway. I figured 45 min of battery life is enough for one use before it gets returned. I dropped it on dirt from my coat pocket and the lens broke. It's about 1/4 the thickness of a cheap Maglight lens. Phenomenal brightness. I'd put it up against my 120 lumen Surefire tactical light & it rocks. For [$] it was a good deal but needs a Pyrex lens and a working charger. Buy with caution..... but you can't get a 500 lumen light anywhere else for under a couple hundred bucks.Ya get what ya pay for...

I really enjoy my light. I have one for my truck and one for my boat. The one for my truck doesn't get used often and I went to recharge the batteries and one of them was leaking. The company only sent there condolence and offered me a deal on another set... I have only had it 6 months. But, other than that, they are awsome. I have a q-beam rechargable that only wishes to be this portable. I would reccommend this over most of the higher priced ones, even with the thin lense and the 45min battery. My co-worker paid [$] for his different brand and this one is brighter and lasts longer... I told him there is medication for that.
