Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Like Wearing Orange Sherbet
Reviewed by Anonymous from central california on Tuesday, June 23, 2015
This is such a beautiful light skirt. I have yet to wear it to a slightly more formal environment (church) but I am sure it will be perfect. I live in an exceptionally hot part of California. This means we have to shift to very comfortable non clingy and cool clothes during the hottest parts of our summer.

The fabric is soft, substantial enough and beautiful, I love these tiny stripes. I am a petite and have to roll the waistband due to my 5'1" height. I have worn this skirt with a pink linen t shirt and also with a coral tank top. I love this skirt and can't say that enough. I will be wearing this into the classroom next fall while it is still hot. One thing I love about this skirt is that it is on trend just enough with the current striped skirts trend- but I don't wear thick stripes well so this fits my way of wearing that. This to me is more feminine and classic and I prefer that approach to fashion. You will not be disappointed in this skirt but will be pleased.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Diagonal Stripes That Work

The diagonal pin-stripe allows me to wear this skirt. I have a matronly figure (ah-hm, wide but not terribly lumpy) and I am cautious about clingy or form-fitting skirts. This one works OK with a shirt or cardigan flowing over the waist band. I wouldn't wear it for anything too dressy, but it is comfortable around the house or out to do errands. The texture is soft and the drape is good. The broomstick drying method eliminates any temptation to iron it. Sizing is true and I like the length, mid-ankle on me at 5'6".

Wore with sandals, layered short-sleeved tee & long-sleeved Royal Robins "kickit" tee on top one day, same short-sleeved white tee with my black denim jeans jacket another. Lots of compliments both times. Word of caution: this skirt is very much see through!! Even on a cloudy day or indoors, i.e. the grocery store, you can see straight through to your legs, lol! My shopping pal noticed it & I realized it once I was home. I thought it was kind of funny, because, really what's the big deal? I wear leggings a lot and yes, I do have legs. It's probably a good idea to wear tan-colored underwear underneath. I might wear a thin cotton slip or knee length skirt underneath next time. It's so cool and breathable, could even layer one skirt over the other.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Lovely skirt

A few well-chosen pieces each season & I'm pretty much done until the weather changes. This skirt in Papaya and the one with sailor blue stripes are 2 additions to my spring & summer wardrobe. The fit is generous - I chose Smalls. I am 5'1.5", 112 lbs ( 8- 10 lbs over my nearly lifelong normal weight) & the fit is ideal. It falls longer than on the model, but just to my ankles.I could wear with ballet shoes, short Western boots, or high platform sandals. Love the material which feels like the softest cotton jersey...with crinkles. Lovely drape...kind of swings when I walk. VERY happy with this purchase.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. pretty and light weight!

If this washes well I will update to 5 stars, really love the slight crinkle effect. It is wonderful lightweight, good looking. I tried both the small and the medium and opted for the medium. As a previous review stated it is more fitted at top, the small fit well (i am generally a 4-6) but since I am more pear shaped than not I do not require any extra shaping so I chose the medium - this makes it tad longer on me but not too long ( i am a slight 5'5"). It drapes well and will be awesome for travel and hot weather. Use a slip if wearing to work or any wear that requires more modesty, it is see through in sufficient background lighting.
