Aquatalia by Marvin K. Whoopie Loafer Shoes - Weatherproof (For Women)

I love aquatalia. Both the brand and these shoes runs narrow, which is great for me, but if you are a normal width you may want to go up a size. These shoes are not poorly made (I don't know what the other reviewers were talking about)as they appear to live up to standard high quality aquatalia construction, but are a fairly conservative style. I was looking for a good pair of shoes to walk to work in, and take on several trips to Europe this year, and I think I've found them. They are patent leather and shiny, which saves them (in my opinion) from being horribly conservative. These are perfect for city wear, when you just don't need or want to wear those butt-ugly rain boots or heavier shoes.

These shoes are cute and well made and look nice with pants or a skirt, but the toe box is narrow in my opinion and the patent leather is a bit stiff so it takes a while to stretch them so that they conform to your foot. In addition, they gap along the side when I walk. Also, I selected the red ones, but they are an odd shade...perhaps with a bit too much orange in them for my taste.

They look really cheap and like plastic. Not an attractive look.

I had previously enjoyed an Aquatalia shoe and was looking forward to a waterproof, stylish, comfortable repeat, but this one wasn't it.

I returned these - the stitching on the top hit at the wrong point on my outside toe and would have ended up causing a blister...this has been a problem with other shoes, too - I think it's more my foot than the shoe.

These were really very nice shoes but the leather was so shiny it didn't really look like leather. The quality was good but I found the shoes so unattractive in the tan color that I sent them back. I'm not much of a style person but these were too 'unstylish' even for me.

I love this brand of shoes. However these shoes were not well constructed. There were large stiff stiches inside the toe box. I returned them.

While these are somewhat conservative in style, the patent leather really jazzes them up. In fact, they are cuter in reality than in the photo. I find this brand exceedingly comfortable, with fairly good support. They are on the narrow side, as this brand almost always is. I might have given the shoes five stars were it not for the fact that the leather is just slightly bunched or rippled on the top of one of them--not very obvious, so not really a problem. I believe the directions said to go up one-half size, which I did and they fit well.
