I did not buy these... just read reviews. Hate to break it to those who believe it's leather... please read the specs. Those who ordered them, discovered they were not leather then left low reviews actually got what they ordered. They did NOT read the description. Since the system forces reviewers t...

I bought these after moving to the north east in the fall. True to some other reviews, the boots are stiff at first, and one must order a half-size up. After heeding those remarks, be prepared to fall in love. These boots look great in formal meetings with pants over the faux fur, or while wearing leggings on a brisk Autumn day. The love comes, though, in winter. I only wear a thin wool dress sock, and must shovel and trudge through unbelievable snow mounds this winter. We got 34.5" two weeks ago, and intermittent snow bursts since. Even in 15 degree weather, I am just fine. This from someone who simply has felt cold when most other people are too warm. My warmth rating on these would be "warm until 2 degrees", because at 1 degree below, and in 14" of snow, my feet did start to get cold-but never wet. I have had absolutely NO issues with water/slush seeping in. There is no mistaking the power these boots pack. Wear them for a week, break them in, and then take on the world.
The "shearling" is 2 1/2" down the inside of the boot; 4 1/4" on the outside. The remainder of the inside liner feels and looks like mid-weight fleece. This goes inside the entire boot, around and over the toes as well.
These boots are entirely attractive even after non-stop wear in nasty weather. Our roads have been necessarily been salted heavily due to snow, and after about three weeks of continued contact with the salted snow, I wiped the boot off with a with a wet terry cloth hand rag with a small dab of goatmilk soap on it, and they are back to new.

Sorry cannot remember as I sent them back. I did not like the way they looked --I think it was the toe style. Sorry I cannot help!

The shearling is about 2.5 - 3" down on the inside.
