They do not squeeze the toes or agitate bunions. My feet size are between a and a 9 and a 9.5. usually go with a 9.5 and use inserts. I think the shoes run a little small because these in 9.5 fit fine, without need for inserts. I did not give five stars because without stockings there are still some areas of the shoes that are a little rough on the skin.

I originally bought this style in black patent. Very comfortable and classic looking. Nice thick rubber sole and 3" heel at the full price of $170. When I saw this red pair on sale in my size 9.5, I jumped at the chance to purchase. The red patent does not look as rich as black patent because it is a crinkle texture and almost looks like vinyl. There is no thick rubber sole for walking and dancing in comfort, but there is a thin sole. At a $70 sale price, I kept them. Since I am unable to wear stilettos, These are my "sexy"red sling backs for salsa dancing. ! Dance on !

I usually wear a nine and had to go up a half size just to get my foot in! Haven't worn them yet, but they are attractive without being fussy and I think they will be comfortable.

The sole is fairly thin so I wouldn't wear these if I was going to be on my feet a lot. Also a bit narrow on my B width feet, but they seem to be stretching to fit ok. Bottom line--I love them.
