Nice leather, good construction.
Lining is thin.. not really any insulation. So I ordered half size up to accommodate for a wool sock.
I ordinarily wear a size 8, got an 8.5. I have wider feet, normal ankles, and a 15 inch calf. And was able to zip these bare legged..
The boot calf is wide, but the stretchy part is actually at the very top, and not at the meatiest part of my calf. So after zipping, i could put a finger in the top part of the boot no problem, but was snug at the mid/upper calf area.
The shoe bed seems to run medium as listed....but the length seems short to me. For an 8.5 I dont have much room at the toe of the boot. Currently debating on exchanging for a 9 and seeing how the fit is, but i'm unsure that it will accommodate both a sock and skinny jeans.

Well I am returning these boots. I ordered a half size larger to accommodate for inserts if needed and i pegged that correctly. Without them this boot would really be uncomfortable. But the biggest issue is they are "loose" fitting in the ankle and HUGE in the calf. They apparently come in different calf widths s-xxl and I was sent Large. Way to big which causes the boot to slouch. The leather is not high quality. Overall very dissatisfied.

I ordered a half size up in this boot because I like to wear midweight wool socks in the cold months, and figured if the boots were too big, I would wear socks with them. As it turns out, the boots seem to run a bit narrow and they definitely dont offer extra space after sizing up. Knowing they are leather, I am hoping for a little stretch to make them fit more comfortable, and after wearing them around the house for an hour, I believe that is happening. I have a 14.5 inch calf and these fit snug on my legs, so wearing skinny jeans probably wont happen, but they will look good with leggings or alone under a skirt. At the calf, there is no gapping, and gives a slim looking fit, which is what I was looking for. If the boot fit true to size, I would have given 5 stars.

These boots look absolutely gorgeous, and there was plenty of room in the calf (stretchy!). I wish I could keep them; however, I needed to send them back because they were a little too thin for me. I usually don't need to order a wide, but these felt like they were designed only for narrow. Besides that though, in the few moments I had them on I didn't feel much padding, so long-time wear probably would have been uncomfortable. That is just a speculation though.
