Not sure why they would make them so big, as I have plenty of ski pants that are nowhere near as big and fit over my boots fine..

Large size fit my 37" waist with some room to spare. The big dislike for me was the HUGE size of the bottom of the pants .Bell bottoms on steroids. Will not keep.
