Very nice jacket -- good features, great materials, excellent construction -- but the collar is huge. I mean huuuge. As in Spaceman Spiff huge. Would be great if you like to zip all the way up and turtle down in, but open it's so big it can actually obstruct your vision. Not for me.

This is a terrific ski jacket, lightweight, but warm. Repels snow. Lots of pockets. I would prefer it if the hood was removable (it stores in the collar).

This jacket fits well and looks great. A classy understated look, not a flashy ski jacket. A very warm jacket that is well made. Highly recommended!

This jacket is as about as warm as a nice dawn coat, yet its not too puffy so to make you look fat. In fact, its hard to believe how warm it is given its relative thinness and light weight for its purpose as a ski jacket. The windproof material feels tough and is good at shedding water as well as wind, but its also soft and doesn't make unwanted rubbing noises. All the sewing and small details look top notch, and I especially like the material around the sleeves that seals out cold air around my wrists without having a velcro tab to fool around with - something you have to appreciate when wearing gloves. I pretty much only use it for skiing, for which it is just about perfect. I do tend to overheat sometimes when its not extremely cold, and have to zip down the front to vent, so I'm not sure it'd be good for highly aerobic pursuits like backcountry skiing, unless its frigid. But, overall, it was an excellent buy, no regrets at all.

A jacket to withstand the rigors of the winters in the great white north was the order of the day. After three weeks of use, below 30 degrees temps, high winds, and a couple day on the ski hill I'm convinced this is the perfect jacket. On most outings I wore this comfortably with only a Capilene 3 baselayer. It does a great job blocking wind and at the same time it breaths extremely well making it very conducive to temperature regulation. As you'd expect, this jacket is made well and designed to take a beating. Don't be fooled, even though this thing is built like a tank, it look great and stands out in a crowd. I had high expectations and I'm impressed. You will be too.

lightweight but warm. well made style aside

My line of work requires me to be outside regardless of the weather. I was looking for a serious coat that would provide adequate protection from the elements. I believe I found it. Only down side is it's awful nice to work in, we'll see how it holds up. Thanks for a good deal on a great coat.

This is exactly what I needed for Michigan winter. It completely shields me from the wind. The other day, the wind speed was 45 mph and I didn't feel a thing.

I wanted something warm enough for Michigan Winter and this was just the thing I needed. For all the technology that comes with this jacket, it's quite lightweight.
