Long sleeves but a powder skirt inside arms. Designed to be long to go over glove. Wrist powder skirt is in correct position.

Couldn't resist the price for such a sweet jacket. Definately feels a size larger. Obviously not a one jacket does all, but really works well for cold casual.

The only thing I don't like is the avalanche sensor thing on the sleave. I keep getting comments...what the heck is that? I guess I bought the coat for primarily everyday use. I love the brand and have some of there other stuff so the quality isn't a question...I just will prob never be in a position to be caught in an avalanche, so I could have done without. That said, I have very long arms and this things fits great in the arms. I see how it could be a problem for others...but my Gamma soft shell fits the same way so I think it is consistent with X gear. I'd recommend the coat...especially at the price that I got it for!

Used it for the first time skiing in Switzerland. It ranged from beautiful sunshiny days to near white-outs. This coat handled it all with minimal sublayers. I never felt overheated on the nice days and never felt the wind and cold on the white-out days. I lost 25 lbs between ordering the coat and using it skiing so I'm not going to comment on the coat being slightly oversized since I was the one that had been oversized.

Beautiful jacket, Only problem is right zipper folded or shifted out so lining is rolled out from inside when jacket worn open.

This is a superb jacket in all respects. It is light weight, considering it's warmth and ruggedness, and is certainly wind proof. The XL is a little larger than similar products from TNF and Mountain Hardware, but all Arc'Teryx jackets that I have owned run a little large. I use it on my motorcycle, so I think it would make a great jacket for snowmobiling too. It might be a little too warm for backpacking in all but very cold conditions, but will be great for skiing.

The Matador jacket I received was made in Canada not in China a big plus. The material is stiff, but after it is worn it does start to loosen up. Four outside pockets and two huge inside pockets. Its a great ski or snowboard jacket it is a part of the Arcteryx decent line. I think it was discontinued in the 08 season.

Great jacket. Warm and wind resistant, but not bulky in a way that binds. Also like the low key branding, just a small Arc' on the front.
