“Fabulous jacket at a great price.”

“This is a great warm jacket for cold winter snow days. It is really designed for the slopes and not for back country use. It does not pack down for extended hikes in the winter so it you plan to go on an extended journey, I would recommend a Pac-Lite or Pro shell and additional warm layering. Think of this jacket as a warm alternative to a down jacket with the benefits of Gore-Tex Pro for rain and slush. The jacket is great for windy ski slopes and the cut is generous. It is not an athletic fit and is not tapered at the waist like the Arcteryx Matador. The sleeves are long and fit me perfectly. I am 6'2" and 165 lbs. with a slim build; Medium fits me perfectly. I think that this jacket is perfect for someone that does not want to wear layers. The insulation adds weight and bulk so do not buy this if you plan to roll it up and stuff it in a pack. I think the Matador is a cheaper alternative if you prefer a tapered waist and do not need a hooded waterproof exterior. I own both jackets and love Acteryx quality. These aforementioned models are both made in China but look just as good as the Canadian products.”
