The fit and finish on this jacket are excellent from what I can see. The cut allows for a good range of motion without being excessively baggy, and it could be worn it with a midlayer if needed. I'm 6'2", 215 lbs, and wear a size 42L sports coat. I ordered a large, which fits perfectly. The insulation in this jacket is not as thick as the down in my Cloudveil Down Patrol jacket, which is approximately the same weight (36oz- 37oz). The Arc'Teryx is definitely more sleek than a puffy and weighs a bit less than I thought it would for a jacket with a goretex pro shell. I haven't worn the Arc'Teryx in very cold conditions, yet, so I don't know how the insulation performs compared to a puffy. Other reviewers (some not on this website) have said that it's a very warm jacket and probably too warm for conditions much above freezing if you're skiing/boarding. I think that's probably right. As with a lot of Arc'Teryx jackets, this one has a limited number of pockets - two on the side for your hands (these pockets are fairly spacious), one on the chest, and one fairly large, zippered pocket on the inside. I think Arc'Teryx limits the number of pockets to cut down on weight and bulk - I happen to like their relatively sleek designs, but some prefer having a lot of options for gear when it comes to pockets. Overall, I think this is a great jacket.

I bought this jacket as an all-in-one replacement for a North Face Denali (fleece) and a North Face Varius Guide Jacket (shell) that combined did not keep me very warm last winter, not to mention they were very bulky and restrictive. This jacket is not restrictive, looks great, and is completely waterproof and much warmer than the North Face gear! You can't go wrong with this jacket! Also Teragon is more of a dark/medium olive green than it looks in pictures on here.

I have owned similar products from North Face, Moonstone, Columbia, etc. and I must say that this is the warmest jacket that I have owned. Very lightweight and comfortable. Too warm for mild winters but perfect for arctic-like conditions. The Gore-Tex pro shell sheds water like a freshly waxed paint job on an automobile. As for wind protection, this jacket virtually stops wind penetration all together. You won't go wrong with this jacket!

Right out of the box I was impressed. First of all on the color! I ordered "Taragon" because STP was out of my size in any other color. Online I was a bit dissapointed in the color which looked like a "lime" green with flourecent-accents. This was not the case, it was more like a medium Olive Green with Lime green accents. (it looks great!). Next was the fit-I am an athletic build-6', 198lb person with broad shoulders. This jacket fit me perfectly! Usually I find that if a jacket fits me in the shoulder area it swallows me elsewhere-not so with the Arcteryx Titan! It fits wonderful! The Gore-Text Pro Shell is awesome too. I actually cut myself somehow right before buying this jacket and as I was putting it on blood got on the outside of the jacket. The blood just beaded up! I was able to just wipe it off with no staining! The weight and feel of this jacket is completely warm and NON-bulky! It feels like the warmest jacket that I have ever put on yet it has the soft feel of a synthetic sleeping bag! I think I have finally found the winter jacket of my dreams! I can't wait to get out this winter to put this jacket to the most rigorous testing that I can send it's way!

This is a great warm jacket for cold winter snow days. It is really designed for the slopes and not for back country use. It does not pack down for extended hikes in the winter so it you plan to go on an extended journey, I would recommend a Pac-Lite or Pro shell and additional warm layering. Think of this jacket as a warm alternative to a down jacket with the benefits of Gore-Tex Pro for rain and slush. The jacket is great for windy ski slopes and the cut is generous. It is not an athletic fit and is not tapered at the waist like the Arcteryx Matador. The sleeves are long and fit me perfectly. I am 6'2" and 165 lbs. with a slim build; Medium fits me perfectly. I think that this jacket is perfect for someone that does not want to wear layers. The insulation adds weight and bulk so do not buy this if you plan to roll it up and stuff it in a pack. I think the Matador is a cheaper alternative if you prefer a tapered waist and do not need a hooded waterproof exterior. I own both jackets and love Acteryx quality. These aforementioned models are both made in China but look just as good as the Canadian products.
