This is the Easyrider jacket if you were wondering. Very warm, a bit more bulky compared to the low-loft Polartec Powershield Arc'Teryx jacket (Gamma SV), but warmer because of it. A little softer feel than the Gamma SV as well. Not quite as form-fitting as the Gamma SV, but still a great Arc'Teryx fit with sleeves that are long enough (versus some other brands).

This is just a comfortable, rather plain pair of cotton shorts. The only detail that's a bit unusual is the design of the back pockets, which are covered by a flap that doesn't flap. I really haven't seen this type of pocket elsewhere. It seemed a bit awkward at first to get my wallet in and out, but once I got used to it I wondered why nobody else had thought of it sooner. It's the sort of minor design refinement typical of most Arcteryx clothing. The cotton cloth seems to a have some stretch to it, but the fit is on the snug side. They're also a bit shorter than some shorts men wear nowadays; if you happen to wear these with a Metallica t-shirt, people will call you Beavis.

i was very disappointed with the fit of this short. The waist was way too small, while the hips fit. The adjustable belt wouldn't adjust easily.

  • Arc'Teryx Accelero Jacket (For Men)
By AstroBoy from Seattle on 09/13/2007
    Pros:
    Durable, High Quality
    Cons:
    Expensive
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I first bought this jacket at the Arc'teryx factory in North Vancouver and loved it so much I purchased the other two colours here at Sierra Trading Post. I was wondering at first why it was so pricey even for an Arc'teryx product until I looked at the tag inside the napoleon pocket and saw that the front/arms/shoulders/hood are actually Gore-Tex. The guy at Arc'Teryx said that it is 2-layer Gore-Tex Paclite however they could not advertise it as such since the entire garment is not Gore material. Instead the back and under the arms are Tweave which is perfect for aerobic activities since it breathes far better than a true hardshell. I am a serious gear head and have Alpha SL/LT, Beta SL/AR and Theta SL in my closet but use these Acceleros unless it it absolutely pouring outside. In a nutshell, this is a great product in its design, quality, versatility and functionality.

Well made pants. They seem durable, but too early to tell. Cargo pockets are very unobtrusive.

I've been looking for a good deal on a soft shell for like 8 months now, and I love this jacket. Does a good job at blocking the wind and is nice and warm - great for fall and spring days. haven't had a chance to use in bad weather yet, but i bet it awesome. i love it so far!
