My normal size is 8, but thought I might be able to fit into an 8.5. This is how much I really wanted the boots. My biggest concern with these boots and most boots is the shaft opening is not open enough. I have large calves and have a hard time finding boots I can wear. I wish more manufacturers would understand not all women have sticks for legs.

These are worst pair of boots I have ever tried on, which is shocking for Ariat, a company known for comfortable boots. The foot bed was uncomfortable and hard, the leather is hard, dried out and brittle feeling, the heel was slipping on both boots and the toe was longer than long and I like long toe boots but this pair is just weird.

Reviewed by alleygator from Madison, WI. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013Wow...these are more beautiful in person...the craftmenship here is top rate...I had another pair of Ariat's and the size is very comparable!...I like my boots a little loose for thick socks, so they are perfect...You may like a half size smaller if you like a tight fit!...The leather is soft and a little worn looking and the design really gives the boot a one of a kind look...they are sweeeet...I bought them black...I can see having these for many years!...I may get them in brown, I will wait til I can get them here on Sierra...cause you will not beat their price, I checked! Thank You...Sierra...Love them!
