My winter uniform is jeans, long sleeve T with a necklace or scarf and these are great!! They have a little stretch so they tie nicely around the neck and are light enough to wear almost year round. I am not wearing these for warmth though they do add a bit, but rather for a splash of color and style.

I ordered the red and white plaid, and it's really cream and red and looks a bit more like a table cloth than I had hoped for....but it's still cute.
