The little bit of cntrasting swirl takes this hat from ordinary-blah to second-look status. Some may find the material itchy but I found it soft. It would be nice if the inside band were a soft fleece instead of ribbon, but thats just a nit pick. Liked it so much I purchased it in the taupe and then purchased another in the black/grey.

Reviewed by Ochy Bala from NY, NY on Friday, April 13, 2012The hat is well made, attractive, interesting, breathable, and probably even rain-resistant, as it is made from densely felted wool. I wish it were at least 1- 2 sizes larger. However, "close-fitting" is an understatement - I don't think that an adult head would fit in at all. I would highly recommend it for somebody with a very small head, perhaps a child.
