My son loves the traction he gets with these shoes. He has worn them almost daily for two weeks with no signs of wear. It think they will hold up well. That is why I purchase his shoes from STP rather than a Big Box Discount store. My only "complaint" is that the hem of his jeans unties the laces. You have to pull them really tight to get them to stay. Not enough extra lace to really double tie, but not enough for them to trip over either.
