I have worn Asics for years and these are a full size under...I needed to order a full size larger than usual. The red color is a tad off to my previous DS Trainer so between size and color I think these are a bit of a second. I have not run in this pair. In the past the DS trainer has less cushion than this 200lb frame likes, so I don't use it for regular training. It has been a great race shoe though up through marathon distance.

Been an Asics user for decades even back when they were known as Tigers. Always a very good product: durable, stylish, comfortable & good support. Since China has been building them, they are definitely a whole size smaller and a tad on the tight width side, but will break in to a 'slipper' feel.

I've been running in the classic Addidas Boston's for years, but decided to get a pair of Asics to try out. Have put many miles on them yet, but they feel great so far. They are snug and breath excellent.
Seem to run a bit smaller than my other tennis shoes.

This shoe is great for minimalists transitioning to using flats but dont want to start training in flats only for fear of stress fractures etc. Great for speed training. Kind of large heel for minimalists seeking to improve biomechanics.

I use this shoe for most of my hard workouts from tempo runs to interval sessions to farlek training, but also run daily runs in them a fair bit. Very comfortable shoe and very lightweight. Halfway between a stable shoe and a road flat.

Asics' DS Trainers have become my all-around running shoes, from speed workouts to marathons. A friend of mine (and a better runner than me) uses them on seriously technical trails too. They are light and comfortable, and the padding is just enough for neutral and efficient runners. To me, they're the closest you can get to the ideal of running without shoes while still protecting your feet from rocks and shards. I would not recommend them to heavy runners, heel-strikers or anybody else who relies on substantial cushioning.
