    I'm accustomed to the Brooks Arial; however, thought I would try the Asics Gel Foundation and was pleased. I over pronate and need motion control. This choice is sufficient for my needs. In fact, they were so comfortable to the point that I almost got carried away running way longer on the pavement then I should have. Great sale price too.

    I usually have a difficult time finding a shoe that fits my narrow foot/heel. These shoes are perfect! No slippage in the heel, comfortable & nice looking. I normally wear a size 8, but went up a size to 9 after reading other's comments, and also ordered the narrow, hoping they would fit. Well, I wasn't disappointed - perfect fit for me, at a great price!!

    I haven't worn the Gel asiscs for several years,but they are just as wonderful as I remember them! As with ALL running shoes, I order them 1 1/2 sizes larger than regular shoes -- I wear a 6 1/2 in street shoes -- and wear size 8 running shoes. No problem. Love these -- great for high mileage training. I'm getting more.

    I usually wear a 9, so when I ordered the 9 1/2 I thought they'd be too big, but they fit perfect! I also have really wide feet though so that may account for it...my other asics are a 9 and they fit well, maybe it's this model...or maybe my feet are swelling. I'm not sure about the arch, I have flat feet and I don't really feel the arch, but I don't feel a lack of one either
