Like all the Asics runners/trail shoes that I've worn in the past, these shoes are just as great. Add to that the GoreTex liner and you've got an even better shoe.

Sizing off. I wear an 8.5 Asics and this 9 was still too small especially in width by my little toe. I tried to convince myself to keep them but couldn't. I just bought a Brooks Trance in size 9 and after felling the fit on that I had to return these Asics. Otherwise they look like a great shoe and I am dissappointed they didn't fit me correctly.

I purchased these for my son, who is just big enough to begin wearing regular men's sizes. He liked the styling and look of the shoes, but was absolutely crazy about the fit and the fact that they were waterproof. He's worn these to a field trip to a wetlands park and running on the beach, and has never once complained about wet feet. Additionally, though his feet tend to overheat in shoes, he hasn't mentioned this about these even after wearing them to his regular indoor gym class - from which I conclude that they are breathable in spite of the waterproofing. Finally, I note that the arch support seems good even though my son's feet are very slightly flat, and that they seem true to size in the 6.5. So - if they can stand up to his abuse, I'm sure they'd be terrific for adult wear as well.

This Asics gel is about as good a sneaker as I've ever had with great cushioning, support, comfort, breathability, and waterproof. Nice heel cup and the sole gets traction in any condition, even snow. My 10 1/2 seemed true to size or no more than 1/4 size small. The loop eyelet causes a minor bump that I felt on my forefoot but it broke in OK. They are not super light but are very rugged,

My husband had searched online for a pair of Gortex running shoes to replace his Nike Gortex Airdrigoat running shoes, after our puppy chewed up one of the latter. He really liked those; they were still in good shape since they were used mostly in winter and health issues restricted their use at times. He was very disappointed when he discovered Nike didn't make those anymore and didn't find anything online that he thought would suit his needs. When the Asics Gel-Trabuco 11 Gore-Tex® Trail Running Shoes - Waterproof (For Men) by Asics arrived, much to his surprise, they turned out to fill the bill. He wore them to take the dog out running at the park on a very sloppy, wet day and was very pleased with them, more pleased than he expected. So far he hasn't had a chance to wear them much on snow...looks like today might be the day for that.

I wanted a shoe for wet running conditions when I am on dirt trails or grass fields. They are good for keeping feet dry and protecting feet from rocks. they are a little stiff for faster running.

Have had good luck with Asics before, for my son, and have also had good luck with Gore-tex in shoes, so I snapped these up. They do run a little small, as other reviewers noted, but other than that, a great trail shoe. Good cushioning and stiffness (a little stiffer than a traditional running shoe, but what you want for off-road, I think). I really like Gore-tex in a running shoe; not just for water-proofness, but also for wind-proofing for winter running. Like other Asics that my son has had, good fit at the heel especially. Incidentally, the gray color with red accents is good too.
