    I am recovering from foot surgery and my physical therapist recommended trail running shoes. He thinks these are wonderful for the sole support and wider heels. They are very comfortable and being worn daily as I recover. I know I will wear them when I have to do more walking after the recovery period because of their support and comfort.

    I use this shoe on gravel roads and some trail. It has a wide sole for good stability. Good traction on an inch of fresh snow on gravel, some slipping on snow on pavement. My past experience with asics is that they run a little small so I ordered a half size larger and was glad I did. The shoe may be a touch low on forefoot cushioning. Great comfort.

    I had these shows a couple of years ago but the same model! they were absolutly great, great support, very sturdy, i used them for trail running and they held up, they were also pretty warm (i was living in alaska so this was key)
