Wore them a couple of times in light rain and was fine. but I wore them the other day in heavier rain. within 20 minutes, my feet were soaked. I guess I will have to stick to my Columbia trail shoes to keep dry in real rain - was able to wear them for a half marathon last year where we had heavy rain for 3 hours and feet stayed dry.
I really like Asics but won't try these again. FYI, I wear the Nimbus 15 for my regular shoes - these are close but not as good for my feet.

Whereas I've avoided puddles in the past, I don't have any qualms about stepping in them now. The stiffer sole required more break-in time for me, but the water-resistant properties make it worthwhile
