    Great shoes for inside and out. I've used these shoes for indoor workouts and outdoor walks/hikes. They are supportive and well made. Note that Asics are recommended by the American Podiatry Association!

    I've always liked Asics, I ordered a whole size larger to accomodate my orthodics. I have plantar facitis (sp?) and I'm in a lot of pain, these shoes have been a saving grace for me. I'm enjoying being active again. These shoes are also well-ventilated, and work well in warm weather.

    I did a 5.50 mile run on the trails with these shoes right out of the box and was very impressed. I have the road version of this shoe and love it. I over-pronate and require the stability these Asics shoes provide. Also ran 1/2 on pavement and 1/2 on trails with them - they even felt great on the pavement because they aren't too heavy and have excellent grip on our slick rocks & tough trails. Can't comment on durability yet because I just got them...hopefully the spiky desert plants won't tear the mesh outer. Also, keep in mind that while they feel true to size, you have to order 1/2 size larger than your normal street shoes. I take 8.5 in a regular shoe but find that I need a 9 in these.
