All leather so good for colder weather. They seem a bit stiff to me but not to him, so you can discount that con accordingly. They look nice and are a great value.

Reviewed by gotta run from wisconsin on Thursday, September 20, 2012My daughter wears these shoes for gym class. They are great for shoes, worn consistently with moderate wear/tear. They were not super breathable to be worn for full-time running shoes.

Reviewed by Terry in WA from Medical Lake, WA on Tuesday, August 21, 2012These look like well made shoes, my grandson likes them unfortunately he has had a burst of growth and they will not fit, so I'm going to have to send them back. The size 6 Keen's which were too big (so nice, I was saving them until one of the boys grew into them) when I ordered these Asics the size six Keens were way too big for him, so we picked these Asics out and ordered them, he came over a few days after they arrived, tried them on too small. Tried the Keens on again they fit(Keens usually run about 1/2 size small)so now I suspect he would need a 5 1/2 in these. Back they go as soon as I track down the paperwork and a box. Frustrating
