Comfortable and athletic and colorful too. If you like boring running shoes, stay away, but they will see you coming in these shoes. A good safety device on the roads. A quality shoe.

Let me say that, but for one problem, I love these shoes. They have great traction on trails, even over wet rock, and feel light and have good bounce-back, so they are equally comfortable for road running. The part that rises up the heel though, is very rigid and extends farther than is comfortable on my foot. I feel constant pressure on my Achilles' tendon, and not in a beneficial way. I have come back a long way in healing plantar fascitis, and an hour of running is all it takes for me to remember how hobbled it makes you feel. It is unfortunate, because in every other way this is a great shoe.

I've never bought shoes online before as I'm very difficult to fit. These fit perfectly right out of the box and cost me 1/3 of what I normally pay retail.

Very cushiony and a lot of support. Used right out of the box for police academy physical test. Performed great. No blisters or other problems.

Nearly 20 years ago I got my first pair of Gel Cumulus. They were the most comfortable and most stable road runners I had ever owned. All this time later, they still are. They're not a minimalists shoe, but that's not what I want. They have extreme cushioning/shock absorption and are super stable. Those are the qualities that keep me running after multiple spine surgeries. All in all they are the standard that I compare all other neutral cushioning runners to. THE BEST!

So I am new to running but I find these shoes very comfortable for my typical short distance runs, usually around 2-3 miles. I'm generally running about 3 or 4 times a week, and found that breaking these in was pretty much done in that first week of running...or right out of the box. True to size, I find the toe box to be roomy, and the support to be spot on for my slightly under pronating gait.
