“I bought these boots as a lightweight winter boot. Winter hiking, hunting, snowshoeing, etc. These are pretty comfortable. Easy to take on and off and a great fall boot. Traction is also acceptable. The insulation is useless. Don't buy this if you actually NEED the boot to keep your feet warm. I.e back country work, extended hunts, etc. They will fail. And you'll probably almost lose your toes as I did. I have two other pairs of Asolo hikers that are in fact warm and waterproof. These are not. Plus they have the soles glued to some foam cushion which will let loose after 20 miles of hiking. If you live in NYC and need a winter boot to go to the deli...these are great. If you actually need a functioning piece of gear..you'd be better off with something else.”
