Love these! Comfy out of the box. Lightweight, very good at keeping feet dry in puddles, good looking and excellent treads!

I bought these to replace my North Face hiking boots that gave me blisters on the back of my heels even after calling North Face and asking them what I should do (FYI I was advised to use 2 sock liners which didn't work!). I thought the price looked good, but I wasn't sure, so I tried to find someplace else that was selling them. I couldn't find the same ones but I did notice that every pair of this brand that is boots is over $175 most over $200! So I purchased them. Once I received them I put them on and my toes seemed to have a lot of room. I put on my wool hiking socks that I plan on hiking in and then went for a walk around the block. They are kinda stiff but that is how they should be. I wore them hiking and did a 6+ mile hike that was pretty strenuous and went through a creek. I also had purchased a pair of superfeet inserts (berry) hoping I could fix my other hiking boots but after I saw the sole was coming off I just bought this pair of shoes. I put the insoles in and they made the shoes fit better. The creek I walked through, I stepped in up to my ankle and my feet stayed totally dry! If anyone is worried about feet getting wet, Goretex guarantees that they won't leak and if they do they will replace, fix or refund so that is another added assurance, over the ST returns accepted-which is one reason I love this company! Try and find a company that will take stuff back once it shows any signs of usage, but how are you supposed to know something works right unless you USE IT?

Liked the looks of this boot but for me the toe box was a little cramped. I ended up getting a blister on my big toe so I had to send them back. If you don't need a wide toe box I would definitely recommend this boot. Well constructed and lighter in weight then my TPS520 GV boots. This boot is more stiff then other suede and nylon boots I've owned but if your looking for good support without all the weight this is a good boot.

These boots have a narrow toebox so they didn't work for me and I had to return them. Otherwise, they are quite well-made.

Bought these for an upcoming trip to Patagonia. Very good build and no doubt that they will do. Use European size not American, that is where the sizing trouble is.

I exchanged the Asolo FSN 70's (Editor's choice award, Backpacker Mag) for these. What a difference! The minute I took these Attivas out of the box and slid them on, I knew they would be just like all the other Asolo's I have worn out. That is, a perfect fit. Comfort like a slipper. Outstanding performance on the Appalachian Trail. I have put thousands of miles on Asolo boots and I fully expect to use these for at least a thousand. I have been wearing them on short hikes around my neighborhood to get ready for another AT hike next week. I can revise this review when I put them to the ultimate test there.

Liked these, but in larger sizes (i'm a 9) they looked really big. Also they were a bit stiff around the ankles for me. But they were well made!

I've had these two weeks and have been out on two 3+ mile hikes and have worn them around town. So far, they are great. As for size, I'm usually a 9, but after looking at other reviews, went for an 8.5 and it is still a smidge bigger than I expected. But, so far it hasn't had any impact on comfort; I just wear thick socks.

This was a gift for one of my friends, who likes to snowshoeing, camping and hiking on the mountain terrains. Well so far, I didn't hear any complaints from her. All is good. :)
