Asolo Attiva Gore-Tex® Hiking Boots - Waterproof (For Women)

These boots are seriously the best pair I've ever owned. Many boots claim to be "waterproof" but these truly did the trick. I took them out for the first time snowshoeing on an 8 hour/10+ mile trek through single digit temperatures, and my feet stayed 100% warm, dry and comfortable - not a single blister at the end of the day (which is more than I can say for my previous boots, a pair of North Face). At one point early into the hike I (accidently) stepped through an icy stream with water up to my ankle - and not a drop went through the boots! I would note that the heel is a bit of a narrow fit - it was completely comfortable for me, but might be too snug for those with wide feet/

I had to send them back for a smaller size. It will be great if the smaller ones fit.

As a guy with narrow feet, I have trouble finding boots that fit. These do, and are great. STP guidance to buy a half size small was correct.

1st pair of boots were returned, too small. Got 1/2 size larger and they fit well. Wore them out of the box without any trouble. Needs little if any break in. I am overally very happy w/ these boots. I think they will serve me well for a lot of miles.

The color is cool, especially since it's so hard to break the mfrs of their habit of assuming we girls only want white, pink, or blue. And I have another pair of these that has proven to be very hard-wearing. But the insole will have to be replaced; these fit like a car without shock absorbers. I'm not sure they are the best bang for your buck, and they're a good number of bucks. I returned this pair.

Going to Everest Base Camp in March with these boots. Can't wait.

I've had several pairs of asolos, and know in this brand always by half a size down. After trying to break these boots in by wearing them around town, and having no issues, I tried a short hike. After two miles the heel blisters were uncontrollable. After those healed, I tried again with the same results. I really wanted to like these boots, but the are just the wrong fit for me.
