“It is a very "ready-to-wear" boot. It is ready to go right out of the box. It is a very light boot so is perfect for heavy-duty day hikes or light glacier travel/light mountaineering. I bought a pair of Petzl Vasek crampons and they fit perfectly which is a treat as I have size 36 boots. One word of warning is to listen to the suggestions to buy a smaller size than usual. I am a US 6.5 in running shoes and I ended up returning the 6.5 and got a 6 instead. They are a big fitting boot.”
