Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Hiking Dog Walker from Texas on Monday, March 10, 2014These boots fit really well and were comfortable right out of the box. I hope these are not close-outs because I may want another pair. I wear hiking boots every day so I think I am a good judge of the fit and durability. So far, these are great. The toe box is very roomy but the heal seems appropriately snug. They have good ankle support while providing enough shoe between me and the rocks. I have been wearing Asolos for years and this is the best pair yet.
Reviewed by AZMASnowbird from Massachusetts on Wednesday, June 19, 2013Tried on a pair of Asolo hiking boots at the local outdoor store and they fit great. Ordered these from Sierra Trading Post hoping for the same fit, but was disappointed. I'm a traditional size 7, and these in a 7 felt just a bit big. Snugging the laces up, the boot felt comfortable until I started walking on a hard surface. Then the boots creased across the top of the foot just above the toes and it was painful after just a few steps. I knew these wouldn't break in without a lot of pain. Unfortunately, they are going back. Overall, the boots are very well made and sturdy. Price with promo was excellent. They do rise above the ankle a 1/2 inch or more than what I've had with other hiking boots.
