Feels half size too big

Feels too wide
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I've had the chance to use these on a couple of snowy, mushy trail runs and around town. They are light enough to run well in, but the support they offer is also amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to use these on a moderate backpacking trip. I splashed through a couple of slushy puddles and my feet stayed dry. The color is pretty bright; I've gotten a lot of looks. Overall a nice shoe.

I use only for running in wet snow--works well for that (not as light as a true running shoe but not going for speed in those conditions anyway).
Size 8 was a Euro size 41.5...that's actually closer to 8.5. OK with thick hiking socks but go down a half size if you're running in them.
