In an earlier review of this shoe, I raved about their durability and performance: They last so long that I routinely go through 2-3 insoles per pair. Pair #4 lasted almost a year with 10-12 miles of walking each week and yardwork, in all weather for three seasons and into winter down to 25 degrees F. Finally, even with new insoles Pair #4 just felt "tired", and the outsole, I admit, was quite worn. They work in ice storms, but why risk falling? They fit my feet well and comfortably with good socks, provide the "hard platform" my foot likes, and keep my feet dry in water/mud/slush up to 5 inches. What's not to like?

I really wanted to like these shoes. They are very well made, hold the heel down well, and didn't put pressure on the instep. But...I take a 10.5 in every other brand of shoe. I ordered a 10.5 in these and way too big. Sent back to STP to exchange for a 10. The length was good but still way too roomy in the forefoot. Odd, as Asolo's have a rep for running narrow. I added a thin insole to take up the room, but then it put me a tad high for the heel pocket. Sent them back to exchange for a pair of Garmonts. Looks like a good shoe if they fit you.

Work outdoors all day. Keep buying these shoes, the best I've found.

The shoes are very well made and sturdy and fit pretty well, if a little loose in the heels. However, the downside is that after an hours wear it feels like you're walking barefoot on concrete! The Asosorb insoles don't absorb any shock, literally! I didn't want to give up on them so I bought a pair of good insoles to replace the originals and the feel was better, but still rock hard. So, I would up using the originals and the replacement pair of insoles together and that's better, but it affects the fit somewhat, so the jury is still out. You get the idea and I'll stop complaining, but I wouldn't buy a second pair of these even though I've had great luck with Asolo shoes in teh past.

I noted in other reviews that they ran wider which was perfect for me. It's as if these shoes were custom made for my feet. Lots of support and yet very comfortable. No tired feet after a long day of walking.

We have always been satisfied with your products; however, these shoes do not fit well. The toes are narrow and the inserts my son wears did not fit well. He only wore them twice and now they are sitting in his closet.

This is a great shoe. Would have given 5 stars. Plenty of support, well constructed, nice grippy sole. No heel slippage when laced accordingly. Nice looking. True to size. fit good right out of the box. All great right? Problem in paradise is that the first pair I ordered had this popping noise in one of the shoes at the end of the stride as the heel left the ground. Very annoying sound. So I sent them back and thought it was a fluke.... received the new pair ...same issue....sent them back. By the way, STP has got to be one of the best companies I have ever used for customer service. They took care of every problem and went the extra mile with me. I will probably try these shoes later hoping that stock has changed over and the defect is gone.

2nd pair I have. Still using the first 2 year old pair as shoes for really dirty needs.

Asolo's fit my feet, so the most important thing I can write is regarding quality. I wear these things to death without any defects at all. When the rubber outsole wears out I replace them

The shoes are great, I have bought this brand in the past and they wear extremely well. They truly are waterproof and are comfortable. I have a wider foot so you need to purchase a half size larger to compensate as these shoes tend to run narrow in regular sizes.
