    I have just returned from 1700 kms walking from Vezelay (200 kms south of Paris) to Santiago in north western Spain. My only footwear were these and they were extremely comfortable,durable and held up remarkably well. I have previously had 4 pairs of Columbia Trail meister which were ok but every pair had stitching that came apart. I had no such problem with these.

    Overall quality is good. But, I found two aspects which did not work for me. First, I found the shoe to be unstable. The sole of the shoe under in the heel is too narrow to provide the stability I needed. Secondly, my heel was lifting up as I walked. I wanted a water proof walking/hiking shoe, but sadly I had to send them back.

    My husband absolutely loved these boots; Asolo makes the best boots and they are the only brand that he will buy, so I would highly recommend these to anyone! There is no time needed to break them in, as they are comfortable from the first minute you put them on! Wonderful boots!
