Asolo Contour Gore-Tex® XCR® Trail Shoes - Waterproof (For Men)

This is second pair. When I bought my first pair, right out of the box, they were the best fit ever, with no break-in needed. I walked five miles the first hour I had them. Here I am two years later, after wearing them pretty much as my everyday shoes, and I'm just now getting my second pair. I still am using the first pair to deliver papers, so they take a beating. Never have I had wet feet, even when slogging through puddles -- as long as the water doesn't get above my ankles. They are durable, they keep my feet dry, and they are now my favorite. What else can I say more superlative than that? As long as Asolo makes them, I will continue to buy them.

a great all terrain training shoe

I initially tried these to be my go to walking around shoes in incliment weather, or while travelling abroad. My foot is narrow in the heel and even with several different socks I could not get the shoe to feel comfortable or stable in back of heel. I also was suprised that the insoles on these were so average. I know Asolo is good stuff but after trying several pairs- - this and a pair of the hiking boots I have returned them both and found solace in the Teva mid raith boot (also from Sierra - better cushion and heel fit out of the box with no break in needed)

I was hoping to use these to troll around in Ireland in March. Unfortunately I wear a size 8 in most everything except these. I am a size 8 M. I liked the way the shoe didn't crowd my toes in the toebox. Also the width felt great. I loved these and tried various socks, and insoles to see if I could gain a little more resistance in the heel. To no avail. If you are an 8 W these will slip off your heels no matter what you do. Too bad cause I love the shoe.

I bought the shoes to help keep my feet dry walking around rainy Seattle. The work great for that purpose. The arch support could be better for those that need it. Great value for the price.

I bought a pair of these for myself. Loved them. So, I bought a pair for my dad for Christmas. He loved them and bought himself another pair. They are great shoes. A little heavy, so not for running. But, a great everyday shoe and hiker. Look nice too.

3rd pair of these i've owned ... i work in outside in these all day long very very durable the gore tex does well in wet/rain etc ... not boots by any means but no need to worry about getting wet toes if you step in a puddle !! i wish they had higher arch support but a little arch insert helped me but i have very high arches and usually do that to most of my shoes so its not an issue for most people i'm sure

This is a great product: it's comfortable and waterproof.

Will use it mostly for fishing.....around lake, reservoir, parks
