“On a recent hiking trip to the Tetons and the Rockies, these boots were my main hikers. I had very little time to break them in before we went, but was still completely comfortable hiking the rocky terrain as well as the flat. The only trouble I ran into was when I didn't lace them all the way up (on purpose) and caught the laces in the empty hooks. We didn't go thru water, so have no info on whether or not they're water resistant, but they were definitely warm and comfortable after several hours of hiking.”
