I am a big Asolo fan, I've worn Asolo boots since 1984. I've had these Echos a couple weeks now. Should be great boots - good soles. True to size - more in line with Vibram sole models.

Great boots, fit well, easy to break in. I have had a pair for one year of regular use and they still look near new. I have used them in snow, up steep trails and in the Bay Area on regular walks. Asolo owners come up and comment to me. Frontier models are good too but the Echo boot is just as good and for less money.

I'm wearing these boots as I write this, and I've worn them all day every day for the past five years!! I've never had footwear this comfortable or long lasting in my 60+ years of wearing shoes, including everything from rubber boots to heavy mountaineering boots. They aren't waterproof, but I wear them in the dirt & mud when working on our small acreage, on the tractor or wherever I'm going. They're finally starting to show their age and wear, so I ordered a new pair of Asolo Fugitives yesterday....to last the next five years. Talk about a great value, Asolo can't be beat.

Some break in required but overall a good boot.

I bought these as a compliment to my older Fugitive's but in wide width which my Fugitive's are not. Living in So Cal, there isn't much of a need for waterproof boots so these are a perfect match and fit. Asolo builds another high quality hiking boot, strong, stiff, comfortable and reliable. I love my Fugitive's and will continue to use them for the conditions that require them and the medium width of them is not a hinderance. But for all other hikes and backpacking adventures, I'll be using these new Echo's because they're that much more comfortable in the wide width for me. If you love Asolo boots, these make for a great pair.

Supportive, super stiff at first but you'll break them in. Eventually. Might get some heel blisters in the process! I'd recommend wearing sock liners. Was hiking up rocky ridge lines in Baja, and scurrying up and down loose scree and they held up like champs. Very protective.

These boots are fairly durable and provide OK support for hiking. UNfortunately, they are difficult to lace up because only the top two sets of eyes are open hooks. This means that it's more difficult to tighten the middle and toe of the boot snugly. Also, these boots are not waterproof but still have the awkward extra flaps of material attached to the tongue which make the boot less comfortable. It's not a bad boot, but you can get other boots (even Asolo boots) for the same price which are better.

Right out of the box these fit. I was concerned about fit after reading the reviews about ordering a wider size but after speaking to an awesome sales rep. i went with size 10m and they are perfect. Also required zero break in. i wore them around a couple days just to see and they were fine. Just did 2 back to back 8 mile hikes with no issues what soever. I am a total Patagonia guy and wear their shoes they are excellent but $$$$. So are these normally. Found them on sale, read the reviews and wearing these for a couple weeks now. Well lets just say these are not going to be my last pair of Asolos. They are made very well and give very good support. I cannot say enough good things about this product.
