    I worn these shoes to walk around the block with thick smart wool hiking socks on and had blisters on my heels and ankles within 5 minutes. Very painful shoe.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I loved the color and the style of the shoe, but I could not get used to the fact that the back of the shoe pressed painfully on my achilles tendon. These shoes do not have the notch in the back that usually prevents this. It was very noticeable whenever I pointed my toes. If it weren't for this, I would have loved these shoes.

    My last pair of Asolo shoes lasted literally 10 years with LOTS of wear time. My only complaint about the new pair is the back of the heel is a bit high & has been hard to break in. But it will I know & I hope to get another 10 years or so out of this pair too!
