Two defects, had to return

These Asolo ankle high gore-tex boots appeared nice according to their specs--lightweight, gore-tex, etc. However, when they arrived, they had two manufacturing defects and I therefore sent them back without wearing them. The inner gore-tex lining was pulling away from the heel area, where stitching had failed. The other, on the other boot, the EVA midsole had several blemishes, that looked like it hadn't cured properly. The cushioning material (EVA) in one area looked like the top of a cheesecake when it doesn't back properly--pits, crevices, etc. Maybe I just got a bad sample---they looked nice, and certainly get good reviews otherwise, but unfortunately, I won't get to try them out. I bought another pair of Asolo boots, heavier weight, for backpacking, and those appear to have no issues and I'm keeping them.
