• Good rock-scrambling shoe

These are almost a rock-climbing shoe, with attendant advantages and disatvantages. I use them for scrambliing around the rocky coast of maine, where their excellent traction and lack of toe-jam makes them good for me. They are (as others have pointed out) hard to get into (bigger loop at heel would help) and unnecessarily narrow in the heelplate.
