My first experience buying hiking boots online and I struck gold. I cannot say enough good things about these boots. The arch support is incredible. Both my boyfriend & I have high arches and he's actually contemplated getting a pair, even though they're women's boots! These boots are also super lightweight. They feel more like sneakers than boots in terms of weight alone. I don't feel like I'm clunking along the trail. The traction seems pretty good so far and the ankle support is good as well. My only complaint is so minor: only the very top eyelet is an open hook, the rest are closed hooks. I prefer at least two rows of hooks to make it easier to loosen the boot but it's not a major deal.

Great looking hiker, easy to keep clean, great for mountains or city. It's okay that they are a little roomy. Your feet expand in warm weather as well as room for thicker socks. Great price, local price was almost double!

Not sure if it is me or not, but I am having a hard time getting the top of the boot laced so that the side of my ankle does not chafe. Other than that, this seems like a really good boot though I have to admit, I am a novice hiker

purchased for a trip out to the National Parks. These boots will work well in Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon. I have very week ankles from numerous tumbles, the strong ankle support will help alot. Can't wait to try them out!

I got these boots to replace my old all leather Asolos. In all my climbing and mountaineering endevours I have mostly used Asolo and never regretted it. You simply can't have problems with boots constructed in such a superior way.

I really enjoy these boots! I should start off by saying that this is my first pair of hiking boots, and they came highly recommended from a friend. I found the boots to be great because I tend to hike on rocky terrain, and my feet felt great the entire time. My feet get cold easily, but they were a comfortable toasty on my 20k hike last weekend. They also kept out all the water when I put them to the test by walking through some very deep puddles.
The only thing I do not like about these boots is they are a bit stiff and narrow. I felt it more in the toe area (not around my big toes but the smaller toes). I didn't get blisters at all though, so that leads me to believe that my toes just didn't like the stiffness of the boots. I think that will change in time, with the shoe losing some of its stiffness and my feet getting used to hiking boots. I usually wear a 7.5 but sometimes I wear an 8. I went with the 7.5 for this boot and it's working well for me.

I used to be a normal size 10 female and never had an issue with shoe sizes. Then I turned 45 and my arch flattened a tiny bit, making a normal 10 too small and eliminating my existing boots that I love. This was confirmed recently via the old fashioned shoe sizer at a couple shoe departments - I'm now a few millimeters beyond a 10, which makes my toes touch the front of most size 10 boots. I tried size 10.5 where available, but they were generally too big in width. After striking out with numerous other hiking boots for an upcoming trip, I finally ordered these on the half size too large consensus, and they fit like a charm in length and width. Haven't tried these hiking yet (just wearing around the house), but will update when I do.

These boots were my first pair of hiking boots back in 2001. I put over 2,000 miles on them in the Great Smiky Mountains and I loved them on my feet. I really did not want to part with them because they were so comfortable. I was never bothered with sore feet or blisters and there was no break in period.
