“I hike a lot in rocky, uneven terrain and these shoes pass the test for sturdiness and great traction. Initially they are stiff, takes several hikes to break them . This is my second pair, first pair lasted 4 years of moderate hiking. They are little wider but that is good for heavier socks. The soles of the shoes are thick, that gives good padding for the bottom of my feet, and less pain. Overall great hiking boots and was able to obtain them on sale.”
