It took two tries to find the right size (my experience indicates they should be ordered for your regular shoe size with no extra for thick socks, and even at that they're still a little loose on me), but now that I have them I love them. The insole is a little too hard, so I replaced it immediately with Dr. Scholl's and they're very comfy now. First hikes out were relatively light but no rubbing or sore points afterwards. Didn't get a chance to test waterproofness this time, but all indications so far are that they're a really high-quality, comfortable boot.
