Great boots and I have been wearing Asolo for years. These boots, however, do run big and I had to exchange them. Good experience exchanging, though.

I wear these every day, twice a day for long hikes with my big Airedale. We are on varied terrain. They are a fairly stiff boot. There was no breaking in period however. They are very light weight and yet meaty and supportive. The laces come loose often, not so great, but I think they will eventually stay tight with time's grit on the surface of them, hah!

Very comfortable right out of the box, fit well, good support and no blisters after a half-day trial hike. These are sturdy and performed well on rocky/uneven terrain. Haven't worn in substantially wet conditions yet so can't comment on that aspect of these boots, but based on other items I've owned that feature Gore-Tex, I am confident these boots will also keep my feet dry.

I loved the looks of these boots, and I took advice from other comments and ordered a 1/2 size smaller. Nope. Too small, and very narrow. Had to return them and decided to stick to my old brand.

So painful. Used them on a three hour hike. Too stiff. They caused so many blisters for me. I over pronate and these shoes were not made for my arches or foot width. However, the quality and laces were superb. They had the easiest tightening laces that I've ever had.

I love Asolo's. This is the only brand I buy anymore. They may be a little stiff at first but they will last forever. Every other brand I have tried breaks down too quickly. Some might find them a little uncomfortable at first, especially if you are not really an avid hiker or backpacker.

I hike a lot in rocky, uneven terrain and these shoes pass the test for sturdiness and great traction. Initially they are stiff, takes several hikes to break them . This is my second pair, first pair lasted 4 years of moderate hiking. They are little wider but that is good for heavier socks. The soles of the shoes are thick, that gives good padding for the bottom of my feet, and less pain. Overall great hiking boots and was able to obtain them on sale.
