I had the same boots for the past 10 years, still have them actually, but finally decided to get a new pair, as I have had the toes sown up already and the tread has been worn almost completely off. I think its time time let them go. I have worn them to work in the field for my job as an environmental scientist hiking mountains and carrying heavy equipment in various terrain throughout the mountains of CO, NM,and OR, and the deserts of NV. I have never wanted another or different pair of boots. These boots are built to last and are the most comfortable and best performing boots ever. Love them and am excited to enjoy my new pair!

I do not find these comfortable. My feet feel tired and sore after hiking in them. They've given me blisters under my big toes in both feet the first 3 times I've hiked in them. My feet don't usually get blisters. Now I don't get blisters when wearing them, but I still find them uncomfortable. They are very sturdy, keep my feet dry and warm. The traction is not the greatest on wet surfaces, but is fine for climbing over rocks, and hiking on a trail. Overall, I would not buy these again.

I go on 6-10 mile hikes every weekend. I need a boot that is durable & this is the one! Plus its comfortable & waterproof. I do not have anything negative to say about it.

I wear these everyday for a 5 mile moderate hike. They are so comfortable and supportive that I realized how much my legs hurt from my old boots! The ability to adjust the width because the eyelets go down to the boot cap is such a relief! My little toe always seem to rub and compress... and eventually develop blisters but not in these boots!
I like this brand so much I ordered a pair of trail running boots too!

These boots were recommended to me by my BF, I had been wanting to go hiking with him but did not have the proper boots. I come from a state where we wear flip flops all year so the thought of something tight on my feet was not exciting me! We went for one short 3 mile hike to break them in and even then my feet were not sore at all. We recently went on a 10 mile hike through all kinds of terrain with a 20lb pack. We tracked through snow(a good 6-7in deep in some places) climbed over trees that had fallen and up the side of a mountain. Even with all the snow and one step into a stream my feet never got wet. After the very limited breakin my feet felt great.

I use it for shorter day hikes. This is my 2nd pair. Only complaint is that the sole wears down and traction is reduced, particularly in wet or snowy conditions. Perhaps Vibram soles would be more durable??
