“Low 5" boots give good ankle support and movement. I tried these because a "wide-body" was available. I have a big foot and 14 wide catches my attention. I tried them on a 7 mi. hike up the Peaks out of the box. I got a second pair because these are fantastic in lots of conditions, wet, cool, warm. I hiked in some 3 ft. deep snow, did ok. I like the hard soles with short lugs since they don't hold gobs of mud like my other big boots!”
