    I use these fine hiking boots for dog training and hiking. I walk over five miles a day up and down walking trails with my eight year old puppy. I have to walk along wet trails and tall grass. It gives great support and traction.

    These will be used backpacking on easy to moderate terrain, pretty rocky. Haven't used them yet but on try on and walking about they are very comfortable, lots of support, no heel rub, good size toe box and seem just right for use.

    These particular boots are hard to break-in. Build quality is phenominal. I don't think I have owned a shoe or boot that is this tough. My biggest issue is the break-in period. They do have a less than perfect removeable insert that had very little to no padding so I replaced it quickly. I am pleased. They will probably rott before I wear them out.

    Wasn't sure what I was getting myself into buying boots online, but so glad I took a chance with these. They are a bit stiff, but that makes them super supportive. So far I wear them every day, they are very comfy and look great. I would buy these again
