I loved these shoes so much that I bought 3 pairs!! It's hard to find the kind of stiff soles that I love and these have them. They're nice looking and comfortable. You should definitelly order at least half a size down, however. I'm usually a 10.5 or 11 in women's and I ordered 10 and they fit perfectly with thicker socks.

I bought the FSN hiking boots last year and wore them 4-5 days a week in all weather conditions for 5-10 km hikes. They fit my shoeshoes perfectly. I am wearing them this summerwith thin socks. They are comfy and I have cranky feet. I just purchased my second pair of this model as once the weather turns wet I will need new boots. I was hoping to get the same experience from the shoes but they are a bit big.If I wear my orthotics I lose some of the ankle support but without them I lose arch support.

I bought my second pair of the Asolo FSN boots here last week. I bought a pair last year and loved them. They were worn every day for hikes between 5 and 10 km on logging roads, frozen lakes, clear cuts and swamps.I wore them with snowshoes.I have very grumpy feet so I thought I would try Asolo shoes in the same size. The shoes seem a little large but hope that when I switch to heavier socks this fall they will fit better.

This is a nice looking and practical shoe. It fits perfectly, leaving wiggle-room for the toes. It could, however, be a little more padded. The sole feels hard. Perhaps as I break them in more, I'll feel more give. If not, I'll add a gel insole.

The site recommended getting a whole size smaller. I bought a half size and I think the whole size would have been too small. The half size does leave some room but room that I could had some insole cushioning or room to wear thicker socks. I went walking 6-7 miles shortly after I bought these. They worked well.

  • Question “I wear a size 9.5 in street shoe and was thinking about getting a 9 since all the reviews said to go down in size. However I have a bunion on one of my feet and didnt know if there would be a smaller toe box that could cause chaffing or tearing a whole in the fabric.”

    • Answer As it is recommended to order a whole size smaller, you may be ok to order just a half size smaller. When you go down sizes the width does decrease slightly so there would be less room in the toe box. It just depends on the size of your bunion as these shoes will not have a lot of give with the leather toe.
